Robert Combas is a French artist, born in 1957. He brings during the 80s a new figurative painting. Present on the artistic scene since 1979, he is the creator of the movement that Ben called "free figuration", movement gathering Rémi Blanchard, François Boisrond and Hervé Di Rosa. She is inspired by rock music, popular images, childhood books, schoolbooks, and everything that makes popular culture accessible to all. He manipulates the images of everyday life while mixing historical and mythological references.
