Fred Allard

Fred Allard, iconoclast and timeless, is a new player on the international contemporary art scene. As the founder of a fashion laboratory several years ago, he has retained an imprint of this milieu, a culture, and an enthusiasm, which he uses as a basis for reflection in his work as an artist. His "Shopping Bags" are his signature and appeal to us by their own identity made by the artist: a wave of poetic and charismatic chic impossible to duplicate. His sculptures freeze the codes of the street and luxury, which are opposed to each other, to form a single entity. Hand-crystallized within a translucent material, with bright and vivid colors, these symbols representative of our society seem in his works, to have to live together for the rest of the eternity. Fred Allard's expressive gesture, tinged with punk aesthetics, marks the sincerity of his work, which is a perpetual search for balance between container and content, between surface and depth, between appearance and interiority. Penetrating the territory of intimacy, Fred "empties his bag" and reveals to us through the transparency of his works the intimacy of his world.
